If those are the ones that launch near Snohomish, I took my dad up with them for his 70th birthday years ago. I have a photo here above my desk of me helping to hold open the balloon while it filled with hot air before launch. It was very peaceful. Since you are driven by wind, there’s no feeling or sound of the breeze, so it’s very still up there – except when they blast the flame – that’s really loud, which you’ve probably heard from below when they pass you by. I miss seeing them in the sky from when I lived in Bothell and worked in Woodinville. So pretty!
